The story
A private horror collection, built into an arcade.
When Erick Rowan came to Phantom Arcades, the goal wasn’t to create a typical themed arcade. This build had to feel personal — something that reflected the darker side of his personality and the shared love of horror he and his wife have built together.
The artwork is a mix of Erick and his wife’s favorite cult classic horror movies, blending midnight-movie nostalgia, poster art, monsters, and eerie portraits into one dramatic cabinet.
Across the build you can spot nods to films and characters like Creature from the Black Lagoon, Friday the 13th, The Blob, Elvira, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Creepshow, Night of the Creeps, House of 1000 Corpses, Vampira, Halloween, Evil Dead, The Mummy, and more.
Some sections lean into vintage poster color, while others shift into black-and-white horror portraits and atmospheric collages, making the cabinet feel like a curated wall of horror history brought to life.
Every side panel is a gallery. Every character has a story. The result is a one-of-a-kind horror shrine — and a next-level arcade built to play.
