The story
Two eras. One unforgettable legacy.
When Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys came to Phantom Arcades, he wanted a machine that would celebrate more than one iconic moment in the band's history. He wanted it to show the journey between two of them.
The concept was built around Millennium and Millennium 2.0. One side of the cabinet features the band’s original photographs from the Millennium era. The opposite side showcases their 2.0 recreations of those same images - familiar poses and personalities separated by years of music, memories and growth.
Moving around the arcade becomes a visual timeline. The original photographs capture the Backstreet Boys at a defining moment in their career, while the recreated images show how the band has progressed without losing the identity that made that era unforgettable.
Every part of the design was influenced by the albums themselves. The colors, typography and graphic details were carefully carried across the cabinet, transforming the marquee, control panel and side artwork into one cohesive celebration of the Millennium legacy.
The result was more than a nostalgic tribute. It became a celebration of evolution - honoring where the Backstreet Boys began, recognizing how far they have come and bringing both eras together on one completely personalized arcade.
