The story
Bye bye bye to ordinary.
When Joey Fatone of *NSYNC came to Phantom Arcades, his machine needed a concept that could only belong to him. The inspiration came from the group's iconic No Strings Attached era, with the unforgettable 'Bye Bye Bye' music video setting the stage for the entire build.
The custom cabinet artwork transforms the music video into a video game world. Joey and the other members of *NSYNC were reimagined as larger-than-life gaming characters, while familiar video game heroes received a playful transformation of their own - dressed and styled to look like members of the band.
The most personal detail became the centerpiece of the cabinet. We created a custom kick panel featuring Joey's own toy marionettes suspended inside the display, recreating the unforgettable puppet imagery from the 'Bye Bye Bye' video and bringing an actual piece of his history into the arcade.
The result was a one-of-a-kind celebration of music, gaming and *NSYNC nostalgia - filled with unexpected details, personal memories and the unmistakable personality Joey brings to everything he does.
